Many of the principle actors in the show and the showrunner believe Hannigram to be canon, based on a connection deeper than merely focusing on consumation.
Will's tendency to collect stray dogs has also expanded to include his husband's fascination with human strays. Together they have adopted five children. They also care for Will's ever-expanding dog collection, and several pets for the children.
